Q: What happens once I submit the application?
A: If you applied/requested an advance for a vehicle (auto, boat, motorcycle, RV), Visa Platinum credit card, home equity or personal loan, you will receive an online confirmation of submission within seconds. You will then be contacted the same business day (Monday-Saturday) on the status of your request. If you applied for a mortgage, you will be contacted by an MECU mortgage loan officer who will work one-on-one with you through closing.
Q: So I received an online response (approved or submitted), now what?
A: If you applied between the following hours (all are Central Time), you will be contacted by an MECU representative via email.

If you applied outside of these hours, you will be contacted on the following business day.
Q: When will I get my loan?
A: You can get your loan as quickly as the same day, depending on the type of loan you applied for (mortgages and home equity loans and lines of credit can take up to six weeks).
Auto You can close the loan via overnight delivery or in-person at any of our service center locations. We'll pay the dealership or third party directly, transfer the funds to your MECU checking account, or give you a preapproved loan check that you can simply write and give to the dealer (a great option if you haven't made a final decision on the type of car you want).
Personal Loans You can close the loan via overnight delivery or in-person at any of our service center locations. We can deposit the money in your MECU checking account or issue a check.
Visa Platinum credit cards Once the details are finalized, your Visa Platinum credit card will arrive by mail within 7-10 business days.
