Have you experienced an issue with a surcharge-free ATM? At MECU, we understand that you want the convenience and flexibility to access your money on your time, without being charged a fee. That is why our network of surcharge-free ATMs is ever-growing. We have partnered with several ATM networks so that we can provide you with one of the largest selections of surcharge-free ATMs around.
How does the network work? The list of surcharge-free ATMs is pulled from our partner databases and displayed for you in one location on our website so that you may choose the ATM location nearest you.
What if I get charged a fee or the ATM is no longer available? Each database is maintained by each respective partner company (such as Alliance, Co-op, etc), and displayed onto our website. Sometimes an ATM may change ownership or is removed from its location and is no longer a part of the surcharge-free network. If this happens, the partner company will have to update the ATM in their database (which may take week or two) so that it will no longer appear as a surcharge-free ATM.
Remember that your first eight transactions each month at any non-MECU owned ATM are free. The cost is just $1.00 for each transaction over eight and will appear on your member statement.
Please fill out the following form: If you have been charged a fee at an ATM that is listed as surcharge-free on our website, please fill out the following form completely to submit a refund request. Please also fill out the form if you have been to an ATM that is no longer available. We can then follow-up with the respective companies to ensure that these ATMs are updated. If you are granted a refund, an MECU representative will contact you within 2 business days.
