Overdraft Transfer

We have you covered, even if you don’t balance your checkbook.

If there isn’t enough money in your MECU checking account to cover a check or electronic debit, available funds in your savings account can be automatically transferred to cover the amount.
  • No embarrassing situations with merchants
  • No costly returned check fees
  • Peace of mind and convenience
  • Transfers are free

Keep in mind, you need to have money available in your savings account in order for a transfer to take place. Otherwise, you could face overdraft charges. To set up or change your overdraft settings, log in to your account and click on "Service My Accounts."
